Διεθνής Συνάντηση Σύγχρονης Τέχνης
Η ART-ATHINA είναι η καταξιωμένη ετήσια
Διεθνής Συνάντηση Σύγχρονης Τέχνης που θεσμοθετήθηκε από τον Πανελλήνιο
Σύνδεσμο Αιθουσών Τέχνης το 1993 με σκοπό την παρουσίαση επιλεγμένων
αιθουσών τέχνης από την Ελλάδα και ολόκληρο τον κόσμο, αλλά και την
παρουσίαση σημαντικών παράλληλων εκδηλώσεων εικαστικού ενδιαφέροντος. Είναι
μια από τις παλαιότερες φουάρ σύγχρονης τέχνης της Ευρώπης και προσελκύει
χιλιάδες επισκέπτες κάθε χρόνο, ενώ αποκτά όλο και περισσότερους πιστούς
οπαδούς –καλλιτέχνες, τεχνοκριτικούς, συλλέκτες και φιλότεχνους– που
καταφθάνουν από παντού και μεταμορφώνουν για λίγες μέρες την Αθήνα σε μια
παλλόμενη από δυναμισμό καλλιτεχνική σκηνή. Η έκθεση αποτελεί, άλλωστε, το
μεγαλύτερο ετήσιο εικαστικό γεγονός στην Ελλάδα. Φέτος συμμετέχουν 60
γκαλερί από 12 χώρες, με έργα περισσότερων από 300 καλλιτεχνών. Η 15η
ART-ATHINA διεξάγεται από τις 21 έως και τις 24 Μαΐου 2009 στο Κλειστό
Φαλήρου (γήπεδο TaeKwonDo), Ολυμπιακά Ακίνητα, στο Φαληρικό Δέλτα. Ο νέος
χώρος προσφέρει πληθώρα εκθεσιακών
δυνατοτήτων, άνετο δωρεάν parking και
εύκολη πρόσβαση με τα μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς.

International Contemporary Art Fair of
Athens
Greece’s leading international art fair for contemporary
art, ART ATHINA, is delighted to announce its 15th edition.
ART-ATHINA- International Contemporary Art Fair of Athens - was
established by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association in 1993 and
has become over the years one of Europe’s most
prominent art fairs.
The fair is located at the shorefront of Athens, in the Faliro Pavilion, a former
Olympic Games venue. The Faliro Pa
vilion is an ideal place to re-connect with contemporary art, while
revelling in one of the most beautiful seasides close to the centre of the
ancient capital city. The new venue offers a variety of exhibition spaces,
and boasts amenities such as free parking and easy access by public
transport. The wide range of galleries exhibiting at ART-ATHINA provide the
fair’s audience with an overview of emerging trends within the arts, and
enable visitors to see and buy works from leading international artists.
ART-ATHINA welcomes 60 galleries from 12 countries, presenting more than
300 arti
sts. It also hosts a programme of parallel events, talks,
exhibitions and art projects taking place both within the fair and
throughout the city, creating a platform for experimentation, discussion
and debate within the contemporary arts.

Η Art Athina οργανώνεται από το
1993 με πρωτοβουλία του Πανελληνίου Συνδέσμου Αιθουσών Τέχνης αποτελώντας
σήμερα μία από τις παλαιότερες
φουάρ σύγχρονης τέχνης της Ευρώπης. Προσελκύει πάνω από 10.000 επισκέπτες
ετησίως και αποκτά όλο και
περισσότερους πιστούς οπαδούς –φιλότεχνους, επιμελητές αλλά και συλλέκτες -
που
καταφθάνουν από παντού,
προβάλλοντας την Αθήνα ως μία δυναμικά αναπτυσσόμενη καλλιτεχνική σκηνή.
Είναι, άλλωστε, το μεγαλύτερο
ετήσιο εικαστικό γεγονός στην Ελλάδα, ένας θεσμός που προτάσσει την
καλλιτεχνική
παραγωγή του σήμερα,
ενεργοποιώντας παράλληλα διαύλους επικοινωνίας με το διεθνές περιβάλλον.
ART- ATHINA 2009. ΝΕΑ
ΔΙΟΙΚΗΣΗ ΚΑΙ ΕΚΘΕΣΙΑΚΟΣ ΧΩΡΟΣ
Η οργάνωση της Art-Athina
ανατέθηκε για τα επόμενα 3 χρόνια στην εταιρεία D-ART. Η φουάρ θα υποδεχθεί
επιλεγμένες γκαλερί από την Ελλάδα
και το εξωτερικό, ενώ εκπονείται ένα πρόγραμμα παράλληλων εκθέσεων,
καλλιτεχνικών project, ομιλιών και
δράσεων που θα παρουσιάζουν και θα σχολιάζουν τη σύγχρονη εικαστική
δημιουργία, σε συνεργασία με
φορείς και θεσμούς της σύγχρονης τέχνης. Μία ευρεία γκάμα ξένων συλλεκτών,
αλλά και
επιμελητών θα φιλοξενηθεί με βάση
ένα ειδικά σχεδιασμένο πρόγραμμα VIP. Ο νέος εκθεσιακός χώρος που
επιλέχθηκε
για την Art Athina στο Φαληρικό
Δέλτα, προσφέρει εξαιρετικές υποδομές, άπλετους εξωτερικούς χώρους δίπλα
στη
θάλασσα, εύκολη πρόσβαση από το
κέντρο της πόλης και άνετο δωρεάν παρκινγκ αυτοκινήτων.

Η Art Athina σύναψε δύο
στρατηγικές συνεργασίες για το 2009 με προγράμματα αμοιβαίας φιλοξενίας
συλλεκτών με το
Art
Dubai και το
Art Rotterdam.
Το Art Rotterdam θα φιλοξενήσει
Έλληνες συλλέκτες το Φεβρουάριο και αντίστοιχα μία ομάδα Ολλανδών θα
ταξιδέψει
στην Αθήνα για την Art-Athina.
Η συνεργασία με το Art Dubai
προβλέπει την υποδοχή συλλεκτών από την Ελλάδα στο Dubai το Μάρτιο, ενώ
φιλότεχνοι από τα Ενωμένα Αραβικά
Εμιράτα θα προσκληθούν να επισκεφθούν την Art-Athina. Στο πλαίσιο του Art
Dubai πραγματοποιείται η διεθνής
συνάντηση Global Art Forum στη οποία φέτος θα συμμετάσχουν και Έλληνες
ομιλητές παρουσιάζοντας θεσμούς
της σύγχρονης τέχνης από τη χώρα μας.

PARTNERSHIPS WITH ART DUBAI & ART ROTTERDAM
Art
Athina is pleased to announce a reciprocal patrons’ programme with Art
Dubai and Art Rotterdam in 2009.
Art
Rotterdam will welcome a number of Greek collectors in February and a group
of collectors from Holland
will be hosted in
Athens in May.
The
partnership with Art Dubai will bring collectors and art lovers from Greece
to the third edition of Art Dubai to be held in
March,
whilst their counterparts from the Gulf
states will be invited to Art Athina. Emphasising
the strong links that exist
between
Greece
and the UAE, Art Dubai will also be inviting a number of prominent Greek
curators and art benefactors to
speak
at the Global Art Forum about the numerous contemporary art projects now
underway in Greece.
